Hey everyone, aren’t you glad summer is finally here?
I spent the last month finishing up schoolwork AND working on my upcoming sequel to Welcome to Superhero School – which is in an entirely new setting that I think you are going to love!
Now I am in summer school, painting, writing, and, of course, reading! (Here are some of my favorite middle-grade books for summer!) One other thing that’s been keeping me busy is talking a whole bunch about Welcome To Superhero School!
Over the last several weeks, I’ve had the chance to do a ton of features and interviews about the book, and it’s been so much fun. Whether you’ve read the book or are still thinking about checking it out, these 5 interviews are a great way to get to know more about me, the story, and all the characters.
P.S. – Have YOU read the book yet? Who’s your favorite character? Let me know on my Instagram!
WFAA DALLAS Interview
This interview was extra special. (And a little nervewracking too)! On National Superhero Day, I was able to join WFAA Dallas on a live broadcast, and it was such a cool experience. They also shared a link to my book on their homepage which I’m super grateful for! Check out the full interview on their site.
Q&A with MG Book Village
If you love Middle-Grade Books, definitely check MG Book Village. I got to share about all the themes tucked inside the book, advice for aspiring authors, and more… Check out our full interview on their site right here!
YA Books Central Feature
I was honored to be selected for a YA Books Central Profile! For this interview, we talked a lot more about the writing process, and my initial inspiration for the book idea and characters. Have you always wanted to become an author? Think writing a book sounds like fun? Definitely check out this interview for a behind the scenes conversation.
Advocate Magazine
One big theme in the book is overcoming and getting through hard things. This was super important to me because it’s something I’ve had to do in my own life! In this interview, I was able to share about my ADHD, and why writing a book has been such a huge step for me. If you’ve ever set your mind to push through and do something difficult, you’re not alone! Read the article here.
Feature with SPCA INTERNATIONAL
Getting the animals involved? Why not! I love my own pets SO much, so I wanted to find a way to use my book to support animals that are less fortunate. Enter SPCA International! Every time someone buys a copy of Welcome To Superhero School, $1 is going straight to SPCA Global Animal Rescue. If you ask me, that’s all the more reason to buy more than one copy! Learn more on their site.
Those 5 interviews are just the beginning! To learn about me, Welcome To Superhero School, and the book-writing process (including some super kind reviews that have come in), head to the News & Reviews section of my site right here! Along with more Q & A’s, you’ll also find a longer TV interview and radio interview!
Until next time!
