Hi everyone, I’m Gracie Dix, the one and only!

I live in Dallas, Texas with my mom and dad. I will openly say, I am adopted, which I’m fine with, and I also have an older brother named Nate. He is a college boy right now. He happily attends the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. My brother is now 20. The big Two – O! I’m 17.

I have two dogs and they are the best little friends I will ever have. Of course, I also have human friends! My first dog is a Maltipoo (a Maltese and Poodle mix) and his name is Snowball. We were blessed with my little white bundle of joy by Santa Claus himself. As of now, he’s 11 and still acting like a puppy!

My second dog is a Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever and Poodle mix). Her name is SandCastle, but we call her Sandy. I remember the day we went to the pet store and they let us play with her when she was just a puppy. After that day, my brother and I realized we just HAD to get her! We did! Now she bounds around the house at around 60mph and is the sweetest ball of energy on the planet. She’s so loving and hyper. She especially loves dad (and the rest of us too). I could never ask for better dogs than I have now.

All About Me

When I’m not at school learning, I love watching TV. It sounds lame, but it’s quite an experience. I especially love watching shows and movies about fiction and fantasy! Usually, I think non-fiction is kind of boring (sorry to all those history fans out there). I also watch YouTube and play a little Minecraft.

I also love, love nature and everything green! The earth can be so beautiful! Birds are pretty cool too. I also love to sing and to perform in the theater, and I REALLY love my friends and family. I know my friends will always be there for me, and if they’re having a rough day, I’ll cheer THEM up! Family and friends are really important and nothing can replace them. Always remember that, you guys!

Big News: I Wrote A Book!

The reason I started this website and blog is I was writing a book! I’m so excited that book, Welcome to Superhero School, is done! You can buy it on April 28, 2020, National Superhero Day! Now I’ve started on a sequel, and I’ve just finished a prequel that you can buy now. I’m so excited to be able to share my writing with all of you!

Welcome to Superhero School by Gracie Dix

The story of how I started writing Welcome to Superhero School is actually kind of funny. I’ve written poems and short stories basically my whole life. One day, I realized I wanted to post my poetry online. I searched for online writing websites and found some kind of national writing website. I tried to post something, but it said that my writing piece must have a minimum of 50,000 words! Needless to say, I got busy! I began writing about my favorite topic in the whole wide world: Superheroes! I just kept writing and once I made it past 50,000 words, I thought, “Why stop here?!” Eventually, I had written my first novel.

I never really had a clear goal in mind while I was writing as to what to do when I finished. I wrote the novel purely for my own enjoyment until I realized it could be for others as well! My hope now is that people enjoy my hard work, maybe suggest my novel to other people and want to keep reading my stories. When you read it, I hope it reminds you that what makes you unique makes you special, to cherish your relationships, that we accomplish more together, and to never give up.

I love these characters and their adventures so much I decided to make this the first novel in a series. I’m just not ready to stop writing their stories! If you like the book, get ready for the sequel. Want a little backstory? You can enjoy a prequel about two of my favorite characters, Oliver and Jessica!

I’m so glad you’re here!

This website is for EVERYONE! So come one, come all and just enjoy! Feel free to tell your friends about it as well. I don’t expect a million people to come to my site, but I can only hope that you like it. Thanks for reading this and I can’t wait to share more soon!
