It’s no secret I love to read. Lately, I’ve also been loving finding amazing series to binge-watch! There are some great series based on some of my favorite middle grade books. If you love fantasy, action and adventure, I think you’ll love these too!

1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson is a hero whose ADHD and dyslexia sometimes get him into trouble, which I can totally relate to. I highly recommend reading the entire series of books while you’re waiting for season 2 of the TV series, which is supposed to start filming this fall.
2. Goosebumps
Get the series. Watch it on Netflix or Prime Video.
There are literally hundreds of books in the Goosebumps series and every one follows kids who end up in scary situations, usually with monsters or other strange supernatural beings.
3. Lockwood & Co.
Get the book. Watch it on Netflix.
Ghosts are taking over London and they’re not exactly friendly. But here’s the thing: only young people can see and get rid of the ghosts! Follow Lucy, Anthony and George investigate as they investigate one of the most haunted houses in all of England.
4. The Spiderwick Chronicles
Get the book. Watch it on Roku Channel.
It all starts when a group of siblings finds a mysterious letter found in an attic. Next up: the world of faerie, which includes elves, goblins, trolls, and other creatures of fantasy you wouldn’t even imagine!
5. The Legends of King Arthur: Merlin, Magic, and Dragons
Get the books. Watch it on Britbox or Crackle.
Epic battles, thrilling quests and forbidden love. And magic! And dragons! Meet one of the most famous sorcerers of all time when he was a kid.
6. A Series of Unfortunate Events
Get the book. Watch it on Netflix.
For “an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children” this series makes me happy whether I’m reading the books or watching the series.
7. The Mysterious Benedict Society
Mr. Benedict, a very talented and smart individual, recruits four kids for a dangerous mission to infiltrate The Institute and save the world.
8. A Tale Dark and Grimm
Get the books. Watch it on Netflix.
Hansel and Gretel walk out of their own story and into eight other classic fairy tales. As the siblings roam a forest brimming with menacing foes, they learn the true story behind the famous tales, as well as how to take charge of their destinies and create their own happily ever after.
